Thirteen Artists to Participate in this Group Event
Includes artists from Wilbraham, Brimfield, Chicopee and Springfield

Roberta and Jerry Wilson, Wilbraham artists who work in studios at Indian Orchard Mills on Front Street, will be exhibiting in the Dane Gallery during February, 2017. The exhibition, titled Wilson & Company has been planned by the Wilsons — who have been artists at Indian Orchard Mills for 17 years — to showcase their students and associates.

Juliet Bacchas and Linda Spelko of Juliet Rose Pottery in Monson and David Dupuis, Maureen Solomon and Tara Hengeveld, all of Monson, as well as Susan James and William Mark of Wilbraham, Barbara Hegge of Chicopee and Karen Whitney of Springfield will be artists featured at Wilson & Company. Also exhibiting will be Rebecca and Meghan Carney of Brimfield.

Roberta, a retired teacher, has created large-scale paintings of flowers in her studio since 2000. Six of her large paintings are currently exhibited in the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield, and she has exhibited for many years in the Monson Arts Council spring art shows. She is vice president of the Wilbraham Art League, and a member of the Monson Arts Council art show committee, where she has inspired her fellow committee members to study painting first hand.

Jerry Wilson is a sculpture who works primarily in stone. His work is strongly influenced by the "primitive style" of aboriginal peoples, especially the Inuits and Iroquois of Canada. Jerry was awarded the prestigious Robert L. Bertolli Award for Traditional Sculpture at the Academic Artist's Association National Exhibit in 2000. His work appears regularly in the Monson Arts Council spring shows, where he has served on the show committee. He is also a potter, whose creative and uninhibited style results in many interesting ceramic forms.
